The implementation of flame detector algorithm relies entirely on self-study. I inadvertently saw on the Internet a demonstration of the results of a graduate thesis from a Chinese university. This algorithm has a very high accuracy in flame detection.

 

Because of curiosity, I decided to repeat his work. I used Python to get a similar program. The program mainly relies on color space to segment the image and detect whether there is flame inside the camera. I think this algorithm can also be applied for fire alarms.
